Robin is a Visual Designer with a particular interest in simple and clean design.
He started his career with an apprenticeship as a media designer, where he became familiar with the basic principles of typography, editorial and graphic design. Following this, he studied communication design at the HfG in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Here, he sharpened his focus in the fields of data vizualisation and interface design. As a UI intern, he worked on human-centered products and services for the railway industry. Afterwards he further improved his interface design skills as visual designer for a digital solar company.
How do the social behaviors of different cultures shape design? With this question in mind, he studied abroad at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Returning to Germany with thousands of insights, he graduated with his bachelor project about noise and glitch in communication design. He then moved to Berlin after being accepted for a masters in visual communication at the UdK.
As a working student at IXDS, he supports the team with all different kinds of visual projects. He enjoys the opportunity to enhance his design skills by working together with a multi-disciplinary, international team.
When he’s not at his studies or work, he spends his time with playing shows with his band or listening to different kinds of music.
