Suddenly, it’s that time of year again. So far, we’ve been able, just about, to ignore most of the Christmas machinations that have been running unchecked around us since October – though now, as the season changes, and the holidays loom into view, we find ourselves inescapably here.
As service designers, we see this as the only time of year that people all around the world will get in sync, and explore the major milestones, workflows, artefacts, and cultural probes of the season. Still, this supposed period of relaxation and reflection more often than not ends in hectic last-minute present buying or chaotic meal preparation. Did we miss any milestones? Was the confluence of information and knowledge transparent enough? Did we conduct appropriate user research before preparing dinner?
We want to use our last Pre-Work Talk of 2019 as a springboard for a lighthearted deconstruction of some of our most beloved Christmas habit and subsequent analysis from a UX perspective – a lesson in user-centricity served with humor, cookies and Glühwein.
This Pre-Work Talk will also serve as a hearty “thank you” to our network for an inspiring and fruitful 2019. We really value the conversations had and the projects we have worked on together.
Swing by at 8:30am for your dose of caffeine, cookies or early morning Glühwein. The deconstruction of Christmas will begin at 9am!
We look forward to seeing you at our studio at Ganghoferstraße 68b.
