Caroline is a senior service designer at IXDS. She is Skill Owner for one of IXDS’ core skills, User Research. The responsibility includes elevating and enhancing the skill quality within the IXDS skill team and bridging knowledge towards the external design community, as well as collaborating with the other Skill Owners to ensure the company’s skill-driven focus.
Driven by curiosity and to design for human scale, she thrives in multi-disciplinary project teams, partaking in the whole design process. Her expertise lies in conducting user interviews and exploratory observation – focused to meet people at eye level. Using context-specific methods and tools for research as well as for analysis, Caroline's ambition is to gain deep and meaningful insight that will guide the design process. She’s a storyteller and illustrator, constantly seeking new ways of bringing research insights to stakeholders' lives.
Before joining IXDS, Caroline worked as a consultant, researcher, and teacher at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and at Mindlab, a cross-governmental innovation unit, to name but a few. Through CIID she co-founded the startup Refugee Text – designing asylum information tools, such as chatbots, for refugees entering Europe.
